Zynga Poker to Launch in the UK for Real Money
Social gaming giant Zynga, who already have a poker product on Facebook are due to launch real money gaming for the first time in the UK, according to their website (http://www.zyngapluspoker.co.uk/) the site will launch in early 2013 and will offer ‘cash games from as little as 25c’.
Currently Zynga offers play money poker on Facebook with the option of buying ‘credits’ which can be used to play against your facebook friends, the new system will apparently use the Party Poker software network to power the front end gaming system and allow users to take part in real money cash games, whether they will play the same tournaments and cash games as existing Party Poker players is currently unclear.
The launch of Zynga Poker could see a massive surge in recreational players in the UK, and if the player pool is segregated from the rest of the player network it could see a very soft pool of players, don’t expect any high stakes action to start of with though, most Zynga poker players are recreational and are unlikely to spend large sums of money on the site.
Zynga Poker has a mailing list on their website, signup to find out when real money gaming will launch http://www.zyngapluspoker.co.uk/
