Top f1 Moments of 2012
Now that the year is over and has been quite an eventful one especially when it comes to the just ended F1 season, it is only fair to catalogue the top moments of the 2012 F1 season. Whether they made you cry with joy or sorrow, these were moments that we all must agree made for a thrilling season in this fast paced arena. It was quite intriguing trying to guess deduce who would be crowned the champion right until the entire thing was over.
The first top moment definitely has to be when we got to the end of the first seven races this season. There were five different winners and these winners all came from different teams. This was definitely one of those moments that anybody who thought they had put their money on the right team was definitely shaken. It was at this moment that we all realized we were in for one excitement packed season.
We cannot discuss the top moments of the 2012 F1 season without highlighting Sebastian Vettel being crowned the champion. There were quite a number of times like in Abu Dhabi or while in Brazil that many were dumbfounded by how he overcame his setbacks against all odds. With his loss of points when his alternator let him down twice, it was not looking like Sebastian Vettel would make it to be champion. Everybody was expecting to see Alonso up on that Dais with the celebratory champagne but it just was not meant to be.
Another one of the top moments of the 2012 F1 season is the scooping up of the number one position by Red Bull Racing – Renault in the best constructors’ category. Mclaren fought and got to seven wins in the entire season and so had Red Bull. Ferrari was utterly left in the dust managing to win only 3. Despite having the most inferior car amongst the top 3 constructors, it was quite a tremendous feat for Ferrari to finish at second beating McLaren. That must have come as a shocker to quite a number of McLaren diehard fans.
Last but definitely not the least, we cannot recap the top moments of the 2012 F1 season without the moment when we all found out the results of the race winners. Every year even if we like or do not like who is crowned the champion driver, one other thing that grinds our cogs is the race winners. This season was a pretty tricky one with those who were set to be the final race winners in the first half of the season not pulling through as expected. Once again one has to remember that the first half had five different race winners each coming from a different team and seven different race winners in total. When it came to the end of the season however it is clear to see that quite a number of people must have had their hopes and dreams shattered. Jenson Button came in at first, Fernando Alonso at 2 and NicoRosberg at 3 giving Mercedes the number one and three positions.
