At this stage of the season these two sides remain undefeated in the Premier League. Manchester City are sitting in 4th on twelve points and Sunderland 13th on seven points. Last year City finished in 1st spot and Sunderland in 1st with 89 and 45 points.
This season the Citizens have played six matches in the Premier League, but have still to lose. They have recorded three wins and as many draws, 12 goals for and 8 goals against. Their last game was a 2-1 victory over Fulham. The scorers were Sergio Agüero assisted by David Silva after 43′ and Edin Dzeko after 87′.
After five games, the Black Cats have recorded one victory and four draws – not a single defeat. They’ve managed to score 5 times, but conceded 4 times. In their previous match, they won 1-0 against Wigan Athletic last Saturday. The sole goal, Steven Fletcher putting the ball past Ali Al-Habsi in the second half (51′) (the assist coming from James McClean).
So far Sunderland haven’t managed to win on their travels: their record from three matches is two wins and one draw.

On paper Manchester City look much the better team. Sunderland will just be praying that they are not on the wrong end of a drubbing. In a match as one-sided as this, a handicap bet might be the wisest move.
